New boutique-gallery Loongese in Laval presents the exhibition “Building a Bridge – Tea, Zen and Mysterious Orient”
Laval, November 12, 2019 – Opened on October 19, the boutique-gallery Loongese is the only establishment in Laval dedicated to presenting Oriental culture through a combination of teas, artworks, and paintings. It is located at local 8 of Galeries Laval. The exhibition named “Bridging a Bridge – Tea, Zen and Mysterious Orient” by artist Annouchka Gravel Galouchko will be presented from November 17 to December 15. In addition to the artist’s work, several kinds of tea, potteries and some Asian artworks will be on sale, making great gifts for the upcoming holiday season. Visitor will also be able to experience time-honoured Asian culture and the charm of the mysterious Orient with several free activities focused on tea, pottery, and art.
Originated from China, the owners of Loongese, Juan Guan and Guodong Zhang, arrived in Quebec in 2011 and have been living in Laval since 2017. “At Loongese, we want to create a space that shows the beauty of the Orient, supports local artists and builds a bridge between the East and the West. The exhibition of the artist Annouchka Gravel Galouchko is a starting point and a very good example. We invite people to come and talk with us while enjoying one of our teas,” said Juan Guan.
Annouchka Gravel Galouchko is a multidisciplinary artist with international recognition. She considers each of her creations as a journey of self-revelation and integrates into her works all of the cultures that have inhabited her and crossed her path over the years.
