Laozi, the reputed author of the Daodejing (Tao Te Ching), a philosopher was living in Spring and Autumn period of ancient China(770–476 BC).
Daodejing is one of the most significant treatises in Chinese cosmogony. For Chinese, It is the origin of understanding the universe, although it has only 5284 words(Hanzi).
Confucius has ever visited Laozi to learn Tao and etiquettes more than eight times. He extolled Laozi like a mysterious loong, and said to his disciples if he didn’t get the enlightenment from Laozi he couldn’t understand the principle of the universe.
